Week 1 – Commencing Tuesday, 13 October 2020
Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you all had an enjoyable break and found some time to relax.
You may have noticed the quadrangle looks different. Tree roots from all three trees have been damaging the sewerage pipes and causing the quadrangle surface to crack. While we were able to find some solutions to addressing the plumbing issues we could not prevent ongoing damage to the quadrangle. The trees were therefore removed over the school holidays.
During the summer holidays we will be getting the quadrangle resurfaced. We know you will all love the design we have chosen. There will be more courts for children to play netball, basketball and tennis, there will be games, the school logo and values and, the colours will significantly improve the look of the quadrangle. We are really excited about this future project!
The other good news is we were able to begin the transformation of the students’ toilets thanks to a $10,000 donation from the P & C Association. Over the holidays repairs were done, new mirrors were added and the toilets were painted. The next stage is for the students to have their say in how to decorate them. Watch this space!
Please ensure that your child’s uniform items are clearly marked with their name. Un-named, unclaimed items will be added to the second-hand uniform supply or charity clothing collections.
Student Drink Bottles
Each student should have their own drink bottle of water for use and refilling during the day. Please ensure that these too are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
Each student must have a school hat to wear when outside. If your child forgets or loses their hat, they must play in the shade. New hats can be purchased in the office or through the uniform shop at a cost of $12ea.
