Welcome

A warm welcome is extended to the children of Millen, their parents, caregivers and families. We hope that you enjoy many years of positive involvement with our school. We encourage you to join us by being actively involved in the school’s learning programs and special events.

Millen Primary School is located in a residential area in the Town of Victoria Park.  The school first opened in 1956 with six teachers and 248 students. We now have over 500 students. We are proud of our cultural diversity, with approximately 10% of our students being Aboriginal and another 22% with a language background other than English.

We are a Positive Behaviour Support school. Our values are Respect, Responsibility, Resilience and Excellence.  The ‘Millen Way’ identifies the positive behaviours we explicitly teach our students to enable them to successfully learn and demonstrate these values. We are very proud of the positive, respectful and inclusive learning environment we maintain.

The school’s progress, and areas identified for improvement, are outlined each year in the Annual Report. Our new business plan outlines our future direction for the next three years, Both are available to download from the Publications page of this site.
